👋 Hello hello,

Cursor just built its own GitHub. Claude became the AI platform marketers trust more than ChatGPT, the first time that's happened in three years of data. And someone taught Claude Code to have design opinions.

🚨🚨 This week we’re hosting live sessions and it’s free for all. We’ll be building AI workflows from scratch, in real-time. If you haven’t attended any of these sessions, this is your chance! 🚨🚨

Let’s get into it.

🔥🔥🔥 Three Curated AI Updates

Cursor just launched Origin, a code hosting platform built to be fast and deeply integrated with the editor itself. You get started by syncing your repos straight from GitHub, and Cursor has already lined up partners like Vercel, Buildkite, and Depot, with more integrations on the way.

This isn't really about replacing GitHub for most people. It's about Cursor becoming the place where your whole dev loop lives, not just where you write code. If you're already in Cursor daily, this is worth watching closely.

Claude Code shipped a new /design skill, currently in research preview, that brings Claude Design's artboard workflow into the CLI and Desktop app, built on artifacts. Run /design and you get editable artboards for your UI. Pick the one you like, tweak it, then have Claude implement it for real.

The gap between "here's a mockup" and "here's working code" just got a lot smaller. If you've ever hired a designer just to get a starting point, this is aimed squarely at you.

The 2026 AI marketing industry report notes that Claude tripled its user base, going from 18% to 65%, and overtook ChatGPT as marketers' most important platform, a dramatic reversal from 2024, when ChatGPT led 68% to 5%. ChatGPT is still used by more people overall, but fewer of them call it their primary tool. ChatGPT remains the most widely used platform at 81%, but its peak-and-slide from 90% signals a maturing, multi-platform market.

This tracks with what a lot of us in the newsletter and content space have been feeling anecdotally for months. Now there's a 681-marketer survey behind it. Read the full report here.

🔥🔥 Two Tools Worth Knowing

An open-source agent harness from DeepSeek AI, built on the idea that everything in it is a plugin. It's currently in developer preview, so expect rough edges and breaking changes, but if you like building or customizing your own agent workflows instead of working inside someone else's UI, this is worth a look.

2. 🎬 html-video

An open-source tool that lets coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex turn plain HTML, CSS, and data into real MP4 videos, rendered locally on your own machine. It comes with 21 templates, pluggable rendering engines, and an optional AI soundtrack, so if you make explainer or promo videos and dread opening a video editor, this is built for you.

🔥 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do With AI

Lee Robinson, an engineer from SpaceX broke down why Grok's coding bot feels so effortless to use, and buried in a thread that is a genuinely useful way to think about automating your own busywork.

  1. Text the bot your task in plain language, the way you'd text a coworker.

  2. Let it decide whether to write a script or open a browser to get it done.

  3. For anything that needs clicking through a website, ask it to record you doing it once.

  4. It turns that recording into a repeatable script you can run anytime.

  5. Because it runs on its own persistent computer, you can fire off the same task again later without re-explaining a thing.
