🧠 Perplexity's AI Computer, Claude Schedules Tasks, and Notion's Custom Agents

Today in AI: Perplexity launches its AI computer, Claude gets scheduled tasks, and Notion adds agents for teams.

 👋 Hello hello,

The original promise of AI was simple. You give it a task, and it helps you finish it faster.

But there’s been a shift this year. Now your AI can run on a schedule unattended, manage projects, and even act like a teammate without you having to show up every day.

Let’s dig in.

🔥🔥🔥 Three Highly Curated AI Stories

Perplexity introduced Perplexity Computer, a system designed to handle entire projects using AI.

Instead of using one model, it can route tasks across 19 different models depending on the job. It can research, write, design, code, and manage projects.

It also remembers your work, connects to your files, and can run multiple tasks in parallel.

The idea is simple. Your computer stops being just a tool and starts acting more like an assistant that manages your work.

Claude introduced scheduled tasks inside its Cowork feature. This means Claude can now complete recurring work automatically at specific times.

For example, you could ask Claude to generate a daily news brief every morning, update a spreadsheet every week, or prepare a presentation before your Friday meeting.

Claude can also connect with plugins, which expand what it can do across design, engineering, operations, and more.

This feature is currently in research preview on desktop and available on all paid Claude plans.

Notion launched Custom Agents, which are autonomous AI agents built directly inside Notion.

These agents can perform tasks automatically. They can answer questions, update documents, route bugs, and create weekly updates.

You can schedule them or trigger them based on events.

They are designed to work for teams, even if you don’t have technical skills.

This turns Notion from a workspace into something closer to an active participant in your workflow.

🔥🔥 Two Workflows That Save You Hours

If you take a lot of screenshots, you know how messy things get. Files named “Screenshot 8472” aren’t helpful later. Claude can now fix this automatically.

Put all your screenshots in a folder and ask Claude to rename them based on what’s inside each image. Claude analyzes the content and assigns meaningful names.

This makes your files easier to search and organize. I've shown you how to do this below:

Reddit is one of the best places to understand what people actually care about. But manually searching takes time.

Using the Apify connector, Claude can automatically scan Reddit. It finds trending conversations, identifies common questions, and creates reports based on real discussions. This helps you find content ideas, product opportunities, or business insights. You can then combine this with Claude’s scheduled tasks to run it automatically on a daily or weekly basis.
