👋 Hello hello,

Claude just picked up two new powers this week: it can now read your Gmail and actually send stuff for you, and Cowork (the thing that lets Claude run multi-step tasks on its own) is no longer stuck on desktop. Meanwhile, over at OpenAI, someone hit the brakes on model training itself.

One company is opening doors. The other just closed one for a bit.

🚨🚨 Come Friday we’ll be hosting a live AI workflow build session and it’s completely free . If you still haven’t registered, what are you waiting for? 🚨🚨

Let’s get into it.

🔥🔥🔥 Three Exclusive AI Updates

Cowork, Claude's tool for handling multi-step tasks with less hand-holding, is now available on mobile and web for all paid plans. Until now it lived on desktop only, which meant if you weren't at your laptop, you weren't delegating.

That's gone. You can now kick off a Cowork task from your phone on the way into a meeting and let it run in the background. Its a small update, but it removes the biggest friction point people had with using Cowork day to day.

Claude can now draft and send emails inside Gmail and manage files in Google Drive. Ask it to reply to a thread, and it writes the response and sends it. You decide upfront where it needs your sign-off before anything goes out.

This is available on all paid plans. Connect Gmail or Drive from the connectors menu to turn it on.

OpenAI temporarily paused reinforcement learning training on its latest models intended for deployment, for two weeks, while it hardened its research environments, ran red-teaming, and expanded monitoring. Its largest planned frontier RL run is still on hold while smaller-scale training and evals confirm the new safeguards actually hold up.

OpenAI's own framing is straightforward: bigger models mean bigger risk while you're still building and testing them internally, so the safety work has to scale with the capability.

There's some chatter online that this is really about a compute crunch, not safety. We couldn't find anything to back that up. Consider it unverified speculation for now, not a fact.

🔥🔥 Two Things You Didn't Know You Could Do With AI

Got a paper you want to understand but don't have the attention span for, and you're sick of generic AI summaries? Link the paper to Claude and add "please visualize this interactively" to your prompt. Instead of a wall of text, you get an interactive breakdown you can actually explore, whether that's how a model's watermarking works or any other dense concept buried in the PDF. Here’s a quick demo.

If you want AI to write a marketing email campaign, don't start with Claude or ChatGPT cold. Without real examples, it's guessing at what actually converts. Go to reallygoodemails.com first, a library of proven emails from top brands, filter for a few that match your campaign goals, screenshot them, and drop them into Claude Design as references. Then ask it to build your campaign learning from those examples. You get AI output grounded in what's already working, not a generic template.

🔥 One Pro Tip

If you're explaining your business, your tone, or your writing style to Claude at the start of every conversation, you're doing it the hard way. We published a full guide this week on setting up Claude like an actual workspace instead of a search box, and this is the single biggest fix in it.

Here's the split that matters:

  • Personalization (Settings) — the stuff that barely changes. Your tone, your formatting habits, how you like things written.

  • Projects — the stuff tied to what you're working on right now. Brand docs, writing samples, a specific client's context.

Most people dump everything into one giant chat, then get annoyed when Claude forgets things three messages later. That's not a Claude problem. That's a setup problem. Get this split right once, and you stop repeating yourself.
