Claude Cowork and Chat became one Claude on Wednesday, so you no longer pick where a task goes. Ask a quick question or hand off a report, and Claude brings the context, skills, and connectors you already have. Ask for a document or a deck and Claude Docs or Claude Slides opens in the thread, and Claude Design now works there too. Edit directly, leave comments for Claude, present from Claude, or download PowerPoint and PDF, all at one shareable link. Claude keeps working after you close the laptop and asks before it acts by default. Docs and Slides are beta on paid plans, Pro and Max first over the coming weeks, then Team and Free. Enterprise admins get 30 days' notice.
Do this: If you're on Pro or Max, ask for a five-slide version of your next internal update in the chat you already use, then present it without leaving Claude.

OpenAI rolled out new ChatGPT Ads features in its Wednesday post, covering both what shoppers see and how businesses build the ads. On the shopper side, a new format called Sponsored Agents lets someone click an ad, open a clearly labelled chat with the advertiser's own agent, ask questions, and then click through to the site. It's being tested with select US advertisers only. On the business side, marketers can create and analyze campaigns with plain prompts using the Ads Manager plugin in ChatGPT, and Ads Manager now suggests copy and images. HubSpot is the first CRM partner and is live now. Shopify's ChatGPT Ads app is live for US merchants and reaches the other ChatGPT Ads markets from September 23.
Do this: If you run HubSpot or a US Shopify store, connect ChatGPT Ads once and build one campaign. Sponsored Agents stay a test; you can't buy in yet.
The ad opens a sales chat. Your CRM still owns the lead.
Grok Bot, xAI's AI-teammates product, can now use 1Password, per its Wednesday post. Share the items a Bot needs in a vault, approve each fill, and the secret never leaves the password manager. That ends the worst habit in agent land: pasting a password into a chat window and hoping the transcript keeps it to itself.
Do this: If you run a Bot, move any credential you've ever pasted into a chat into a shared vault, then rotate it.
The Bot can fill the login. You still tap yes.

Generation models are optional, so some cuts cost nothing in API fees. The catch: there is no one-button app. You need to already live in Claude Code or Codex.

Cline's coding agent without the code editor. There are 300-plus models through Cline or 50-plus providers, local models, different models for planning and doing, parallel sessions, scheduled jobs, and imports from Claude Code or Codex when you want cheaper open weights. The catch: early beta, and you bring your own API key.
