THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU CAN DO WITH AI

KEEPER
👋 Good morning.
The dashboard you've been waiting on from the data team may now be one sentence away. Anthropic shipped Claude Dashboards yesterday, and every number shows the query behind it, so the "where did this figure come from" meeting might finally get cancelled too.
THIS WEEK IN LABS
Let’s edit a video with Claude

3 AI updates
Anthropic launched Claude Dashboards in beta on paid plans. Connect Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, ClickHouse or Salesforce, ask in plain English instead of SQL, and Claude builds a dashboard that keeps itself current. Click any number to see the query behind it. Claude Motion (beta, Team and Enterprise only) turns a report into a short animated explainer written as code, so every word stays editable before the MP4. Docs, Slides and Design also left beta on every plan, Free included.
Do this: start with the question you'd normally email the data team on a Monday. It's built for quick looks, not to replace your BI tool, and on Enterprise an admin has to switch it on first.
Somewhere, a pivot table just felt a chill.
Claude can now turn a plain-English question into a live dashboard. What would you point it at first?
Google Cloud launched the Gemini agent for businesses first, with consumers later, per TechCrunch. Give it an objective and it plans the work, then reaches into Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira, BigQuery, Snowflake or any MCP server. It gets its own Workspace account and email address, so you can tag it, email it or add it to a group chat, and its work is logged under its name, not yours. Anthropic's Claude is among the models you can swap in.
Do this: if your company already pays for Gemini Enterprise, this is the one to ask IT about. Real-time spend caps and smart routing between models ship with it, which answers finance's first question.
The new hire already has an inbox and no opinions about the office thermostat.
Google released AI Edge Foresight, a free, experimental Mac app that takes meeting notes completely offline on its 740-million-parameter EmbeddingGemma 2 model. Like Granola, you jot shorthand while it fills in the rest from the transcript, on calls in any app or in person. You can question the transcript with a Gemma 4 assistant and add PDFs, Docs, Office files and bookmarks as a local knowledge base.
Do this: if client calls can't leave your laptop, try this before this week's ChatGPT Meetings, which processes audio on OpenAI's servers and needs Pro or Business. It needs an Apple Silicon Mac on macOS 14.2 or later.
Airplane mode just became a productivity feature.
2 things you didn't know you can do with AI
1. 🤝 Have AI write your referral asks · any chatbot · LinkedIn
Angus Sewell's job-hunting move: export your LinkedIn connections, hand the file to your AI, and have it sort contacts at your target companies into four types, from confident sales folks to quiet technical ones, plus anyone just hired or promoted. Then it drafts a different first message for each type. The catch: his exact prompts sit behind a comment gate, so write your own and read every draft.
2. 📡 Have an agent watch for buyers · open source · agent
Treg's Signal Monitor gives your agent one recurring job. Describe your buyer in a sentence and, on a schedule, it checks hiring, funding, tech-stack changes, job moves, and complaints on Reddit and X, then reports only who's new since the last run. You pay per check at each provider's own rate, not per month. The catch: it's built for people already running agents like Claude Code, and lookups cost money, so set a budget first.

🗂️ Stop re-explaining yourself: work out of one folder
If your AI keeps forgetting what you told it last week, you don't need a second-brain app. Move from the chat tab to the Code tab in Claude (or Codex, if you're on ChatGPT) and work inside a project folder on your computer. The files, notes and instructions you build up stay in that folder, so the next session starts with all of it, and Claude and Codex can work from the same folder.
Start: Make one folder per project, like "Q4 launch," and drop in the docs you keep pasting into chat.
Open: In Claude, switch to the Code tab and point it at that folder. In ChatGPT, open the same folder in Codex.
Prompt: "Read this folder and save what you learn about this project in a file called CLAUDE.md." In Codex, name it AGENTS.md. Each app reads its file at the start of every session.
The catch: it can read and change what's in that folder, so start with copies, not the only version of a file you care about.
Turns out your AI's memory problem was a filing problem.
