THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU CAN DO WITH AI

I WISH I KNEW SOONER

👋 Good morning.

Yesterday 40% of you said picking a show takes longer than the show. So the scrolling is already the entertainment, and today AI wants that job too: ChatGPT is rolling out GIFs made from a prompt or a photo. Your team chat was never going to stay serious anyway.

IN 3 MINUTES, GET 1% BETTER THAN EVERYONE YOU KNOW:

  • ChatGPT now turns a photo into a GIF.

  • AI shoppers visit your site. Now you can watch.

  • Ask ChatGPT out loud where your money went.

  • Draw any process, and take your AI to meetings.

  • One robots.txt line that tells AI: don’t train.

3 Did you see

ChatGPT can now make GIFs from a prompt or an uploaded photo, per The Verge. It arrives with OpenAI’s new image model, Images 2.6, which also speeds up regular image generation. You can change the speed (0.5x to 2x, per Android Authority), edit single frames and share it. OpenAI says people now make 4B+ images a week across ChatGPT and its API, up from 3B in September. It’s rolling out on web, desktop and mobile, so you may not see it yet.

Do this: once it shows up, turn your logo or a product shot into a looping GIF for Slack or a launch post.

Your logo has always wanted to wave.

Where would you actually use an AI-made GIF?

Microsoft Clarity, a free website analytics tool, now shows which AI agents (bots that browse and buy for people) visit your site and what they try, from searches and logins to checkout, per Microsoft. Clarity says weekly agent visits nearly doubled in three weeks to almost 2M. New simulations test whether an agent can finish a purchase or a booking. For scale, DoorDash’s CEO said outside agents had sent “maybe several hundred orders in total,” per TechCrunch. DoorDash averages about 3M deliveries a day.

Do this: if you run a site, add Clarity’s free tracking code today and check the Agent Activity tab next week.

Your next customer may not have thumbs.

ChatGPT Voice now works inside Finances, per ChatGPT. Connect your bank and card accounts through Plaid (and, separately, your credit report through Experian), then ask out loud where your money went, which subscriptions you pay for or which bills are due. It’s US-only and read-only: ChatGPT can’t move money, pay bills or trade, per OpenAI. Disconnecting deletes the synced data within 30 days, but not your past chats. Finances isn’t new; talking to it is.

Do this: on your next walk, ask “What subscriptions am I paying for that I haven’t used in a month?”

A budget meeting you can take on a walk.

2 things you didn't know you can do with AI

1. 🗺️ Explain any process with a hand-drawn chart you can click · Tinycharts · Claude skill · free

Tinycharts is a Claude skill (saved instructions Claude follows) that draws how something works, like your refund process or client onboarding, as a hand-drawn chart you can click through. The free skill has 9 chart types; the $34.90 Pro pack unlocks all 28. The catch: the free version is for personal use only, and you need Claude Code or Skills turned on in Claude.ai.

2. 🎙️ Bring your own AI to your meetings, with no bot in the room · Tana · Mac, Windows · free plan

Tana’s meeting companion brings your own Claude or ChatGPT into Zoom, Meet or Teams through its desktop app, so no note-taker bot joins. Say “Hey Claude” mid-call to answer a question or pull numbers into a doc. The free plan needs no card. The catch: it’s one more app listening to your calls, and it can only use the accounts you’ve connected.

🤖 Check which AI bots your website lets in · robots.txt · free

Your site’s public note to bots lives at yoursite.com/robots.txt. Google, Microsoft and OpenAI now plan to honor one shared line in it that says “don’t train on this,” per Search Engine Journal. Nothing honors it yet, and Google aims for 2027. Before you add it, open your file, paste it into ChatGPT and ask:

❝

Explain this robots.txt in plain English and tell me which AI bots it blocks.

The catch: on Google, the new line also keeps you out of Gemini app answers, so you’re choosing between staying out of training and showing up in AI answers.

A “please don’t” sign, now with three big companies promising to read it.
