THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU CAN DO WITH AI

WORTH TRYING
👋 Good morning.
Yesterday 56% of you said you already let AI build your slides. So for most of you, AI already does real work, and real work is what a usage limit counts. From December, ChatGPT and Codex share one allowance on Plus, Pro and Business, per OpenAI’s help center. If ChatGPT builds your decks, they now come with a fuel gauge.
IN 3 MINUTES, GET 1% BETTER THAN EVERYONE YOU KNOW:
The one ChatGPT model December’s limit won’t touch.
Claude edited his vlog. He learned how later.
OpenAI’s report card for ChatGPT, graded on your chores.
An AI email fixer, and IKEA steps in 3D.

The allowance is measured in tokens (the chunks of text a model reads and writes), and Codex is OpenAI’s coding agent. Harder tasks and more advanced models use more of it, but Instant chat doesn’t count at all, per OpenAI. You’ll see what’s left under Settings, then Usage. At the limit you can wait, upgrade or buy credits. OpenAI expects most people won’t wait for resets more often than they do now. There’s no exact date or per-plan number yet, per Unite.AI.
Do this: send quick questions to Instant and save the bigger models for work that needs them.
Finally, a reason to stop asking the smartest model what time it is in Lisbon.
How often do you hit your ChatGPT usage limit?
levelsio dropped his camera clips in a folder and opened Claude Code. He typed one line: “Claude can you edit these clips into a 10 minute vlog for X and YouTube.” Claude transcribed him, made frame grids to see each clip, matched his voice against other speakers, picked the cuts and made thumbnails. He says he only learned how when Sam Parr asked. Separately, PJ Ace shared a Claude skill that edits 5+ versions of a video, posts them as Instagram trial Reels (shown to non-followers first) and tells you which won.

Do this: put your next clips in one folder and ask Claude Code, not the chat app, for a 60-second cut.
An editor that only explains itself when asked. Very realistic.
OpenAI built LifeVal, a test of how well its models handle everyday chores, and says it has used it for the past year to improve them, per its post. Tasks came from two time-use studies plus a survey of 3,995 people: childcare, health, school, paperwork, money, shopping and government services. Current models scored 93.1% on shortlisting kindergartens after a move and 100% on finding a family home within budget, per OpenAI. OpenAI grades itself, and the post doesn’t say how scoring works.

Do this: give ChatGPT one real chore this week and ask it to end with the decisions only you can make.
A report card where the homework is actually yours.
2 things you didn't know you can do with AI
1. ✉️ Make an AI draft sound like you, promises intact · work-humanizer · Claude Code, Codex · free
work-humanizer is a free skill (saved instructions for your AI) that rewrites a draft fresh in your voice while keeping every fact, commitment and caveat. It ends with a sentence-by-sentence fact check, and asks up to five questions when details are missing. Watch the Reel. The catch: it runs in Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, not the chat apps.
2. 🔧 Follow any IKEA build step by step in 3D · Bygga · web · free
Type the product name from the box into Bygga and each step plays in 3D and is read out loud, with the parts, screws and tools it needs. You can check your parts first, and there’s no account. Watch the Reel. The catch: it’s an unofficial project, not IKEA’s, so keep the paper manual nearby.

🎧 Exa podcast search · no extra cost on Exa plans · web
Exa, an AI search engine, now indexes 3.2M episodes from 119,000 shows with full transcripts labelled by speaker, per Exa. You search what guests said, not just episode titles. Try your company or a competitor in the playground on Exa’s dashboard. The catch: it’s built for developers, and it got about 1 in 7 answers wrong in its own 667-question test, so check the transcript before quoting anyone.

Competitor research, now without the headphones.
